New starter alert! Meet Teegan Elliott

Our Melbourne team keeps on growing! We’re super excited to introduce Teegan Elliott, our newest consultant working in the design and creative space. She’s worked in recruitment in London, Canberra and Melbourne and we’re thrilled that she’s bringing her vast expertise to the Creative Natives team.

We sat down and had a chat with Teegan so you can get to know her better.

What’s your role at Creative Natives?

I am the dedicated Design and Creative consultant focusing on recruiting all roles in the Design and Creative spanning across Graphic Design, UX/UI and the Creative/Art space. I work with agencies and in-house clients across Melbourne.

What do you love about recruitment?

I love the thrill of connecting the right candidates with the perfect clients. It’s an incredible feeling when six months down the line, the person I’ve placed is still loving their job, and the client is happy too. I get a real buzz when people genuinely appreciate our help and see how much we’ve improved their organisation.

Why did you want to join the team?

Once I discovered Creatives Natives, there was just something about the team and their online presence that lured me in. Everyone seemed so fun, relevant and genuine and I wanted to learn more. After several meetings with the team my feelings were solidified and I knew I’d found my people and couldn’t wait to work with this incredible bunch.

If you weren’t working in recruitment, what would you be doing?

I actually studied Exercise Science and always wanted to work in rehabilitation, particularly helping people with serious spinal cord injury. However, my life course changed and I fell into recruitment. Whilst I may not be helping people in the way I thought I would be, I don’t regret a thing. I’ve loved my journey!

If you could be a guest on any podcast, what would it be and why?

I’m more of a music listener than a podcast listener, but from time to time, I get sucked into a Shameless series (gotta love pop-culture). I feel I’d get along with them as I often speak to my friends in a similar way as we unpack the very interesting scenarios from our own lives.

What are you watching/listening to/reading right now?

Currently reading Yellowface and watching Below Deck Down Under! Captain Jason…enough said.

Cats or dogs?

Doggos!

Best trip you’ve been on?

Skiing in Japan with my best friend was definitely a highlight for me. Ramen, the slopes and karaoke. Doesn’t get much better than that!

Do you have a hidden talent?

Honestly, I don’t have any hidden talents, but I do like to think I can talk to anyone, and once you get me going, it’s really hard to shut me up.
