New starter alert! Meet Dakota Middleby

The newest recruiter on the Creative Natives block, meet Dakota Middleby! Dakota is new to the world of recruitment but super keen to get stuck into it. She’s also the face of our Queensland team.

We sat down and had a chat with Dakota so you can get to know her a little better.

What do you do at Creative Natives?

I’m a Resourcer here at Creative Natives in the Account Service & Digital space. I’m also the only member of the Queensland team, so if there’s anyone who wants to join me in the Goldie, hmu.

Why did you want to join the Creative Natives team?

Typical but true story – I was looking for a career change and wanted to try something new and different. Recruitment seemed like a logical step as I love to chat, get to know people and build strong relationships. I was also connected with a bunch of the Creative Natives team on LinkedIn and every time I saw a new post from them, I got excited to read it. It was a match made in heaven.

On a scale of 1-10, what are your creativity levels like?

Four out of ten. I’m not super creative, but I am trying to become more creative, so I feel I’m in the right place!

If you could be a guest on any podcast, what would it be and why?

It would have to be Do You F*cking Mind? by Alexis Fernandez. It’s a fascinating podcast – she studied neuroscience and the things she talks about really get me thinking, it’s super interesting!

What are you watching/listening to/reading right now?

I’m listening to the podcast, The Mindset Mentor by Rob Dial.

I’m currently reading The Power Of Now by Eckhart Tolle.

Cats or dogs?

DOGS. I have my own little sausage dog, his name is Peanut and you could say he kind of looks like a peanut too.

What’s the best holiday you’ve been on?

Going around Europe, Croatia and the Amalfi Coast in Italy were my absolute favourite places to holiday. The water is a crystal clear and the food is insane!

And finally, do you have a hidden talent?

My mum always told me I could sing, but don’t all parents say that though?!

… No, to be honest, I have yet to find out!
